Week two of our interpreting the Bible series centers around a conversation on the editing of the Biblical texts. How was the Bible written over time? Jeff, Mona & Allen discuss the progression of the Biblical text over time through the lense of Source and Redaction criticism. The episode finished with a fun round of Sound Charades.

Irenicast Book Club
Our first Irenicast Book Club with Mona will be July 11, from 8:30pm - 10:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The Club will meet every second Monday of the month. We are reading the Introduction, Parts I and II of Obery M. Hendricks’ The Politics of Jesus: Rediscovering the True Revolutionary Nature of Jesus' Teachings and How They Have Been Corrupted. The desire for this book club is to co-create a community where everyone feels safe and welcome. To such an end, we will break the time into two sections:
- The beginning of the meeting will be introductions and making a community agreement for engaging the conversation and each other
- We will spend the rest of time time in a guided conversation on what you found most moving, surprising, or challenging about the book and what these things might mean for the ways we walk around in the world. Please mark passages you want to talk about.
